Summary

I played this game and I was really impresed by it.

Gameplay: If you played a soccer game before then you will probaly know what to expect from this game. You have over 300 teams to choose from in each of the modes. Of course, you have the season mode and the career mode but now there are new features including in the game. First, you have the challenges mode which gives you a veriaty of challenges to complete such as score a number of goals in a game and others. The other cool new features in the game is that now you can play wirelessly through the internet and compete against others around the world which is kinda cool. The only bad thing about the gameplay part is that sometimes when the ball gets out then the frame rate has a hicupe which is bad because the frame rate is really good and it shouldn't be that way.

Graphics: The graphics in this game are actually pretty well done on the portable but there are a few downers in the graphics part. First, you have the models of the players which look pretty awsome and the animation in the game is really neet and cool. The downer in the game is the crowd which looks really bad.

Sound: If you played a soccer game before then you will probaly know what to expect from this game. You have a lot of soundtracks which sounds really nice and the music is really excelent. The biggest thing about the music part is that now there are announcers which do pretty good job. Another and last feature of the sound part is that before the games, you can hear the national themes of the country which is great and cool.

Value: You can play for hours and hours trying to finish the game. The season and the career mode will take you a while to finish and the veriaty of challenges and the ability to play online, will keep you playing this game for a long time.

Reviewer's tilt: Overall this game is until now the best portable soccer game I have ever played and if you like soccer or just need to get a good sports game then you should definitely want to go and try this one out/

Fifa Soccer came out big on PSP the game itselfs captures minds of football fans all over the world. The Graphics are good with same animations as the Playstaion 2 one thing that is bad of it is that when playing players like Lilan Thuram will have have as well as Patrick Veira
but from that the graphics are solid. A.I in the game is excellent making you work for your goal in the defense. When you score real life show boatng takes place Beckham flys to the Crowd to Landon Donovan sits on the grass. They have comback and en route challenges of real games which is very nice try if you get the time. The season is solid except that you can't do transfers during it but it lives up to the hype. The new mid season franchise is for those players that dont want to play the full 38 games with real stats but no Player stats. It's nice that you can go online on players from all over the world. Sound is great with crowd reactions to a tackle goal or a save you can feel the emotion of the crowd at all levels and times

Summary

Many might not like this game but FIFA Soccer is the most definitely THE tactical game of all The Soccer Sim games. Actually this was my first ever game on PSP so I might rate this high. The gameplay in this game is more tactical and passing based which reveals another part of football or soccer, whatever. No longer can you score absolute insane goals from 40 yards or so. Now you have to build up the goals slopwly and patiently or break fast in Counter Attack, your choice.

The teams available are good but some a bit un-necessary. Who would like to play the Lower league teams unless a traditional fan? There is a slight disappointment in the absence of European Cup and even World Cup. But we can always create custom Tournaments. There is a new Mid-Season Scenario where you can select teams who are placed in the league table based on the actual stats. Another interesting feature is Challenge mode. It challenges you to complete some of the recent famous comebacks and routs. By winning all these challenges you can create your own challenges to test your skills.

The points are earned by winning leagues, tournaments or challenges. Graphics aren't the best but they aren't too bad either. Forget about the graphics the sound is this game's real strength. You could spend hours listening to some of the coolest music tracks and even videos! Debi Nova's One Rhythm made me crazy about her and Dogs die in Hot Cars made me laugh. There are more like Nachlander,Elkland,Los Amigos Invisibles,Decadence and dozens more.

FIFA Soccer is a worth play ONLY for those who well understand the passing and patient nature of football and do not mind graphics. Debi Nova is AWESOME!( I don't know Spanish but yet love the song)

this was actually the very first game i got on the psp that i liked. The gameplay is extremely close to the ps2 style but that doesnt take anything from it. so basically if you liked the ps2 game, ull def like this one. the only thing i had a problem with was the controls were a bit laggy, so it would be annoying when ur tryna get this sucky player materazzi to go left and it would take like an extra second to change direction. other than that the game is great. Plus: the multiplayer makes it alot funner. however, i wish they could have added a practice type thing like in the ps2 game .
Ps: Zidane is awesome

FIFA Soccer is a pretty remarkable translation of its big brother to Sony's portable system.

Summary

FIFA Soccer is EA Sports' first soccer game for the PSP. Released six months after FIFA 2005 for the PC and consoles, FIFA Soccer is a pretty remarkable translation of its big brother to Sony's portable system.

While concessions were made with regards to graphics, if you've played the PC version, you'll notice that the presentation, gameplay, and content are pretty much the same on the PSP. The PSP version has a lower frame rate, the models aren't as detailed, the crowd graphics appear static, but the animations, cut scenes, and replays all play out just like the PC version. John Motson and Ally McCoist's commentary is present in the game. The gameplay is also similar, adopting a control scheme to account for the lack of a second analog stick on the PSP, but most likely you won't be performing first touch and freestyle moves as often as in the PC version.

FIFA Soccer doesn't have FIFA 2005's career mode, but it does include some features not found in FIFA 2005. There are a series of 40 challenges, which place you in actual comeback and rout situations from the 2004 season, and you have to score at least a predetermined number of goals in the remaining time to recreate what happened in reality. A wide variety of games from different leagues are represented in this mode, and the challenges get tougher, as the number of goals needed increases, or the time remaining decreases. FIFA Soccer now also includes a proper season mode, and you'll be able to choose from the many leagues included in the game. In addition to starting a brand new season, the game also allows you to start at the midpoint of the 2004-2005 season based on actual records.

The tournament mode is where you'll be able to play the various cups and also create your own custom tournament. FIFA Soccer also supports ad-hoc multiplayer with two PSPs, and this works pretty well.

As in FIFA 2005, you can earn points by accomplishing in game achievements or completing the challenges and winning the leagues and cups to purchase unlockables at the FIFA Soccer store. The unlockables include different match balls, alternate kits, night versions of stadiums, and additional music tracks. EA Pocket Trax is where you can access the soundtrack, which includes many of the songs found in FIFA 2005.

At times the game is choppy and the frame rate is never really ideal, but the spirit of the PC version survives the transition to the PSP. The similarities between the two versions are striking, and overall, FIFA Soccer for the PSP is a solid handheld version of the game.
