In no way is this game 10/10 or worth half the praise it's getting!

Summary

And I mean it, this game gets 10/10 or 9/10 just because some magazine/website says it good so the bandwagon starts rolling.

I purchased BF3 like a sucker thinking it was going to be a good game because of all the praise it got but all I ended up with was a polished game with pretty detail and hardly any worthwile gameplay.

What's good about this game and what makes it 10/10 besides having nice graphics and sounds? Nothing! absolutely Nothing!

You'll be bored out of your mind trying to enjoy this game if you're looking for action. The maps are bigger than they need to be and seem empty as a theme park in the winter with only 12 vs 12 players. Most of the gun fights are just snipers camping and the rest is just people blowing up tanks or crashing jets or helicopters due to their terrible and I mean terrible vehicle controls.

You'll spend most of your time running from point A to point B hoping a camper oh I mean sniper doesn't see you or if you see someone firing bullets into a black mass only to not have them hit anything. If you're not doing one of the things above you'll be waiting for vehicles to spawn. Sure it's great waiting 2-5 minutes for a Jet or helicopter to spawn after your teamate crashed it or is just flying around contributing to nothing. Tanks are boring and don't last long thanks to C4. Grats! You drove your tank fired 2 shots and got blown up. Why are they even called Tanks? A Geo Metro would last just as long.

If you decide to fly a helicopter you might as well as learn to fly a real one. Controls feel like complete crap and to make matters worse all you see is the Side view...thanks Jets are a little better if you can get one off the ground but good luck manuevering them as they handle like a kite in tornado.

This is my first and last Battlefield 3 game and I can't wait to sell this dud and cut my losses. I've been fair to the game but don't feel like I should force myself to like it or try to figure out why or who thinks something so bland deserves a 10/10 or 9/10 because it looks pretty but feature gameplay that's boring as hell.

Guns handle terribly, vehicles controls handle terribly, leveling up guns is tedious, and action takes too long to happen. Not to mention the game is like staring into the sun! Everything is bright and shiny! I swear this game must take place 2 minutes before the Sun is about to crash into the earth.I see why all the soldiers wear Sun glasses in the game they need it! and so do you when you play!

The most fun I've had in this game is trying and I do mean TRYING to pilot vehicles and only crashing them or having them get blown up. This game has just turned into GTA for me only a military edition. Find a vehicle run over some people with it and then crash it or have it get blown up. That's the extent of excitement in this game.

I've played online checkers games that had more action. This game is B-O-R-I-N-G! and if you can't tell I'm upset I wasted a good 60 bucks on this than your probably one of the simple minded people that are entertained by sitting in the grass for 10 minutes waiting for someone to walk by you and think it's exciting. Yawn!

1/10 let the truth be told.

Summary

Battlefield 3 is a great game in many ways and it is an outstanding piece of work in that it has taken what is best about military shooters now days and what has been some of the best features of the Battlefield series and mixed them into one superb package.

First. The graphics. They are something quite else and the game looks very well done and polished. It does have some problems in the multiplayer with character models going through the map but that is probably one of the only problems with it. And there is some delay on texture buffering but that corrects itself very quickly.

The singleplayer isn't very much to look at but it does offer a bit of a fun experience and the gameplay is a bit more passed and more like what a soldier would experience as opposed to a James Bond styled soldier that has made their way into most modern high budget shooters.

The multiplayer offers the most addictive experience of the whole game and it is the thing that sticks out the most. The game play is fun and the maps are nice and big. The gameplay can be tense and will keep you alert. The game gives the player 4 classes to play as and each one offers their own support to the battlefield. A good feature which is in the game which most developers just don't seem to understand is weapon balancing. The game's weapons feel nice and balanced so you don't have people firing a 44. Magnum at you with the rate of a Semi-auto pistol or a Semi-auto being fired at you with the power of a Magnum. But there is one objection which I do wish to state about weapon balancing. The balancing is so well done but then it is ruined by the shotgun's 12G Frag round. Mixed with a USAS-12 you can imagine how frustrating it can be for people on the other end of the barrel. The vehicles are fun to play around with and can turn the tide of the battle if used correctly. The Destruction isn't as good as it was in BFBC2 but it is still fun to play around with and the physics engine can help make sniping a very fun challenge when bullet-drop is involved.

Overall it is a very fun and addictive game. But it is best purchased for the multiplayer. The game innovates more that it repeats its predecessors and it is overall just a great game.

Campaign is short and sweet, difficult in open places, after finishing the campaign next best thing to do is play campaign and finish the co-op to get rid of the useless first weapons.
When you start the multiplayer i'd recommend to get back to karkand. The multiplayer is the greatest i've ever played due to the destruction and vehicles!!! In my opinion greatest fps game EVER!!!!! It's not great at the start due to the lack of weapons and equipment!!!!! The only downfall for consoles is the big maps due to the lack of people on thise maps for example Caspian Borders.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................IT'S FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

awesome gameplay and graphics. it has a really nice multiplayer and a short campaign which i really like. defefwerfwfwef

Summary

Aside from the hacks and some of the issues in the game it is so far so good. I left Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops as well as the doomed Homefront game to play Battlefield 3. I got BF3 at the same time I got Black Ops and its funny because I have no urge to play Black Ops anymore or any Modern Warfare game period. We all have heard the hype of BF3 vs MW3 but really I can't see it. Sure I will try MW3 but I can't see any possible way that it is better than BF3.

The weapons could be improved some and the game tweaked as well. Support by EA and Dice is EXCELLENT. They ask for feedback and FIX ISSUES. They seem to be on the ball. They also are on the ball by punting cheating a$$es and hacks out of the game and off the grid.

Right now my favorite multiplayer game is Conquest or basically capture the flag and HOLD IT. I do not care for deathmatch because of the small area and the ammount of people in it. I also can live without team deathmatch as well. The can also keep both Rush games due to the limited and TOO SHORT time to get to the MCOM stations and deactivate the explosive. It is not reasonable to take 5-10 seconds to disarm something that only takes 20 seconds to blow up.

More to come....
